renting a car

if you want to be moving around a bunch, then renting a car is probably not a terrible idea

we've done this from both Avignon's TGV station as well as from Marseille's St-Charles train station

getting one from Avignon TGV is trivially simple; all of the car rental places are directly available right outside of the train station, something like 40-50 steps away

the area around the train station is really chill, and the entire experience is quite relaxing and stress-free

the drive from Avignon towards Eygalières is a scenic and short 30 mins

it's possible to either get a rental car right at the airport if you're flying to MRS, or rent one at St-Charles' train station

if getting one from the train station, driving inside Marseille proper and trying to park can get entertaining during rush hour, so be prepared haha

we've never gotten a car at the airport, but our brother Aldito claims it's very relaxing and hassle-free (MRS is ~30mins outside of Marseille's city center)

the drive from Marseille towards Eygalières can also be pretty scenic, and it's just a tad longer at ~1 hour
